Elizabeth Gordon, the Volunteer Manager of The Community Kist, has kindly sent along the following update: The Community Kist continues to prosper and in the run up to Christmas is raising money to help cover the cost of the Community Fireworks and the Christmas Festival. Money will also be given to the Community Council to cover the cost of the postcards used in the GP Out of Hours campaign.
This Saturday — Nov. 10 — the Kist shop will be closed as it relocates to Dreel Halls for the Annual Vintage Day. The Kist will have a vintage stall with items such as linen, clothes, glass, china, pamphlets, postcards, vinyl singles, jewellery and some Christmas items.
The event at the Dreel Halls runs from 11-4. Entry costs £3 but includes tea, coffee and home baking. There are also stalls featuring more vintage clothes, crafts, remnants and a raffle. All are welcome.
