The Spindrift Celebrates 15 Years of Hospitality

The Spindrift Guest House, is celebrating their 15th anniversary as an award-winning guest house in Anstruther by offering special three-course dinner menus using locally-produced ingredients during November and December.  Booking is essential as these special dinners sell out fast (tel. 01333-310573, or email info@thespindrift.co.uk).

The special dinners are being offered on November 11th, 13th and 14, and December 5th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th.  Priced at £25 per person, diners can choose from four starters, four mains, three sweets or oatcakes and cheese; freshly ground coffee and chocolates will give an elegant finish to the menu.

Using only the best locally produced foods and produce, diners will enjoy beef, lamb and pork sourced from farms in Fife, Tayside and Angus by J.B.Penman, the well-regarded butcher in Crail.  Fish and seafood comes from J.C. Morris & Sons,  Ru an Fhodar Smokehouse in St. Monans and The Fisherman’s Larder, Pittenweem.  Local potatoes come from Abercrombie Farm, while Ivan Wood & Sons, Ltd. in Ballingry supply quality fruit and vegetables.  G.H. Barnett’s Baker, the award-winning baker in Cellardyke will provide artisanal breads, the St. Andrews Farmhouse Cheese Co. will offer up their made-on-the-spot  Anster cheeses, handmade oatcakes baked by from Adamson’s in Pittenweem, and handmade chocolates (under the watchful eye of owner Sophie Latinis)  from The Pittenweem Chocolate Company in Pittenweem will be enjoyed. A small, carefully created wine list and a licensed honesty bar can be enjoyed before, during, or after your meal.
